This week’s issue is going to be a bit shorter than usual.

Not because I am lazy, but because Mercedes is the only team to bring major upgrades to Montreal.

Lets get started with Mercedes

Mercedes

Mercedes was the only team to not bring any major upgrades to the Miami GP. (If we are not counting Aston Martin)

Ferrari brought 11 upgrades, Red Bull 9, McLaren 9, and so on.

But guess what.

Mercedes still won with domination

They won without upgrades.

With upgrades?

They will win it again. Its either going to be George or Antonelli.

Reports suggest that they will gain more than three tenths of time per lap

If that happens, I think it is valid to cancel your F1 subscription

They will change Kimi Antonelli’s horrible start by fixing clutch area and electronics in deployment issue.

Their “big” package could be considered aerodynamically too.

They will revamp their sidepods and front wings so that aerodynamically, they can dominate the grid too.

Sounds easy right?

Its easy when you already have a rocketship

McLaren

McLaren showed some serious pace in the Miami GP, especially Lando Norris.

Lando was holding the current world championship leader.

If McLaren can get more upgrades while Mercedes’ upgrades doesn’t work, Piastri or Lando both have a solid chance of winning a silverware in Montreal.

Going more depth into their upgrades, they are bringing their “second package” into Montreal.

Yea, you thought the Miami GP was it?

They got a shit ton more

They initially planned to split their upgrades into two races because…

why not

Front wing has to be the most consistently upgraded parts of the whole season

The whole aerodynamical stuff like downforce starts from the front wing

They are going to also add a similar floor system to Ferrari

Also since McLaren and Mercedes share the same engine, when Mercedes improve their engine, McLaren improves their engine too

The only thing that McLaren are lagging behind the Mercedes are deployment issues

If they come to Montreal with better softwares, Lando or Piastri have a solid shot at winning the Canadian GP ruining George Russell’s season

Anyways, these are the only two teams that are bringing major upgrades to the Canadian GP. All the midfield teams plus Ferrari and Red Bull are planning to bring their second wave of upgrades in Spa.

Also don’t forget about Aston Martin and Cadillac.

We might forget about them mid season because they never actually finished the race.

Oh and I forgot.

My pick to win the Canadian GP?

My predictions:

Sprint

  1. George Russell

  2. Lando Norris

  3. Kimi Antonelli

  4. Piastri

  5. Leclerc

  6. Max

Canadian GP

  1. George Russell

  2. Kimi Antonelli

  3. Lando Norris

  4. Charles Leclerc

  5. Oscar Piastri

  6. Max Verstappen

Don’t sleep on George Russell. If he doesn’t prove himself this week, I might start to doubt his championship run in the future.
